Q: What is Intelligent Property?

A: Intelligent Property is a new mobile content service focused exclusively on the property market which delivers pictures and property details to your mobile phone.  The service enables interested parties to access information on all your properties instantly from property boards/hoardings, press adverts, on the radio and in other media 24/7.  Intelligent Property has set up the service to be able to deliver photos to most mobiles phones across all network operators in the UK. At the same time and included within the message, you also have the opportunity to contact the estate agent or request further information by email with “one click”.

Q: What is the first thing that happens when a buyer responds to our board by sending a text message?

A: You receive notification of the buyer’s mobile phone number and their e-mail address (if provided) by e-mail.

Q: What happens if the customer asks Intelligent Property for information on a particular property

A: In addition to the buyer’s mobile phone number you receive immediate notification of the property the customer is interested in and how many rooms they have viewed on their phone.

Q: How can we use the customer contact information?

A: Your use of a customer’s data is governed by the Data Protection Act.  This entitles you to contact the customer by phone, text or email about the property or properties they have shown interest in and to offer further help.  We can advise you on what you can and cannot do here.

Q: What does it cost the buyer to use the Intelligent Property service?

A: Surprisingly little – and its getting cheaper all the time!  You can expect to view at least 5 properties on our system for the cost of a 1 minute peak rate phone call. Of course, the buyer’s costs will depend on their particular mobile phone tariff. The original contact text message will be at the standard rate. After that the Intelligent Property service uses data rather than voice communication, via GPRS, 3G or WiFi so the cost per minute will be much lower than a phone call.

Q: Do we need to provide the latitude and longitude for every property?

A: No, Intelligent Property works out the location from the postcode. However, this does mean it is important that the postcodes are entered correctly. The best solution is to use address matching software to eliminate mistakes.

Q: Do we have to provide the local maps that Intelligent Property uses?

A: No, the maps are part of Intelligent Property service and come with the system.

Q: How does the location service work?

A: The location of every mobile phone is known by the network operator to enable the mobile phone system to work. Intelligent Property simply uses some neat software to take advantage of this knowledge.

Q: Does location work on every network?

A: No, Virgin and 3 networks withhold this information but when this situation changes location will then also work on their mobile phones.

Q: What information will a buyer see?

A: The choice is yours. Intelligent Property can take everything on your web site and show it to the buyer but if you choose you can limit the information provided.

Q: What information will we get from the buyer?

A: Intelligent Property records every ‘event’ so you will be given:
The mobile phone number;
Notification that text message has been sent;
Notification that the mobile session has started;
The identification of any property viewed;
Details of the map viewed;
Details of the area viewed;
Notification when the full property description has been viewed.

Q: Can the Intelligent Property service be linked to a web site?

A: Yes, with tremendous advantages. The web site should allow buyers to enter their mobile phone number. If your web site does not allow this we recommend an upgrade. Once the mobile number is registered future web site activity can be linked to this number.

Q: How frequently can we update Intelligent Property from our web site?

A: As often as you like. The process is simple and uses a SOAP interface. If you want to know more about this please contact us.

Q: Can we reinforce our identity on the mobile phone?

A: Yes, we provide a “white label” service that prominently displays your logo on the mobile screen to support your branding.

Q: Is there any other way we can support our branding?

A: Somehow you need to inform you buyers that you offer the convenience of the Intelligent Property service. This can either be done by redesigning your boards or by adding a smaller board, label or tag to your existing board configuration. We also recommend promoting the service in newspaper, web site and branch advertising.

A: Somehow you need to inform you buyers that you offer the convenience of the Intelligent Property service. Q: What if my phone does not receive pictures?

A: Some mobile handsets can receive pictures but may not have been enabled and set up by your mobile network operator. To enable your handset, please see the Intelligent Property help page for advice – which provides links and telephone details for each mobile operator in the UK www.intelligentproperty.com/help.aspx OR contact your mobile operator network directly.

A: One benefit of using Intelligent Property is the personalized service one receives when using the product. We realise how busy you are with everyday activities and searching for the perfect property is a time consuming exercise. Intelligent Property saves you time and makes your search more efficient. You decide at what point you wish to be contacted and regarding what specific property.
